HIVE ACCOUNT CREATION 2 || HIVE BASICS

Have you ever tried onboarding someone into hive.blog and they ended up telling you they have issues creating an account on hive blog.

In my previous post, I have explained how easy it is to create an account on Hive comparing to other social platforms.

The main purpose of writing this article is to make it easier for those we plan onboarding to Hive in creating an account as many find this confusing and back out before getting started.

The two free main account creation method are:

• Phone verification method through Hiveonboard
• Email verification method through esteem app

The main purpose of this article is to discuss the account creation using email verification through esteem app. Click on LINK to read through creation of hive account using Phone verification through Hiveonboard.

RULES FOR SELECTING YOUR UNIQUE HIVE USERNAME

• Your username cannot be less than 3 characters.

• Your username cannot contain more than 16 characters.

• Username not available means the username has been used by another user.

• Username invalid means the character used in the username is not allowed.

• Characters allowed includes alphabet, numbers and hyphen (-).

• Your username should start with a small letter.

• Your username can only begin with a letter and end with either a letter or a number.

NOTE: It is preferably you make use of Brave or Chrome browser when creating an account.

• HIVE ACCOUNT CREATION THROUGH ESTEEM APP

Esteem app allows you to register on hive free just by using your email as a means of verification. To signup, click Link and follow the process and instructions below.

• Input your username, email address and referral (optional)

• Just like I have done here, also do yours.

• If successful, this image comes forth

• Check your mail for a message from esteem

• Click on click here to confirm to get your email address verified

• This message comes forth if

• check back for a mail from esteem containing your Hive login information. Then open the mail

• The message contains your username and master password. Copy the master password.

• Then go to https://hive.blog to login, then click on the three horizontal lines at the top right corner of the site.

• Click on sign in to login

• Fill in your username and paste the master password you copied earlier

• You will arrive at this page, wait for the blue text to display then click on it to download password back up

• Copy the private posting keys. You could take a moment to read the functions of each keys.

• Then go back to the login page to use the private posting key as password to login.

• Then finally, you are logged in.
