I have not played video games on many consoles, I have only had PS1, PS2, PS3, NES and Dreamcast, but I have seen a lot about the other consoles and I think I do not need to try them, I have had many experiences similar to the ones I would have with the consoles I have not been able to play with, but there is a console that I enjoyed for a long time when I was a kid, every time I came home from school I always played and played for hours on the console, I am talking about the Dreamcast, a console that from my point of view is underrated.
No he jugado a videojuegos en muchas consolas, solo he tenido PS1, PS2, PS3, NES y Dreamcast, pero he visto mucho acerca de las otras consolas y creo que no me hace falta probarlas, he tenido muchas experiencias similares a las que tendría con las consolas con las que no he podido jugar, pero hay una consola que disfruté por muchísimo tiempo cuando era pequeño, siempre que llegaba del colegio lo que hacía era jugar y jugar por horas en la consola, estoy hablando de la Dreamcast, una consola que desde mi punto de vista está infravalorada.

No tengo muy claro el cuando me regalaron esta consola, pero seguramente empecé a usarla cuando no había ni siquiera entrado a primaria, pasaba horas frente a la pantalla disfrutando juegos que seguramente todos recordaremos, porque algunos de ellos no fueron exclusivos de esa consola, aun así, es una gran consola con un catálogo de juegos muy buena, hasta ahora he conocido solo a 2 personas con esta misma consola.

Tenía juegos que estaban en la N64 pero la Dreamcast tenía más potencia gráfica, la manera de guardar partidas en Dreamcast me parecía muy original y muy interactiva, era mediante un dispositivo llamado VMU (Visual Memory Unit) un dispositivo que va en un socket que tiene el mando, tiene una pantalla pequeña y botones, estos sirven para usarlos en los minijuegos que tienen algunos juegos de la consola, puede funcionar como un dispositivo de videojuegos independiente de la consola y también como una pantalla auxiliar que complementa las mecánicas del juego, como mostrarnos un mapa o algún HUD en la pantalla de ese dispositivo.
La Dreamcast también tenía una cantidad de periféricos considerablemente grande, algunos de ellos son, el Vibration Pack que es un dispositivo que se conecta para sentir las vibraciones de las explosiones, caídas o demás cosas que pasen en el juego, el Race Controllar que era básicamente un volante con muchos botones que venía muy bien para los juegos de carreras, la Fishing Controller que era una caña de pescar para usar en los pocos juegos de pesca que tiene la consola, lo que me parece más sorprendente de esta consola es que tiene un mouse y un teclado que podemos usar para facilitar la navegación por internet o usarlo en los shooters.

Mi juego favorito era Sonic Adventure 2, es el juego al que le eché más horas de todos, hay muchísimos juegos que me hubiese gustado jugar, como Shenmue o Jet Set Radio, también jugué mucho al Rayman 2, estos juegos fueron los que pusieron en marcha los sentimientos que tengo hacia esta consola, uno de los primeros contactos con los videojuegos que tuve fue en esta consola, acá es donde el yo que ama los videojuegos nació.

Nunca tuve un VMU para poder guardar partidas, por eso siempre tenía que repetir los mismos niveles una y otra vez, aun así nunca llegué a aburrirme, la emoción que sentía incluso cuando jugaba los mismos niveles era increíble, el diseño de la consola también me parecía muy cool, mucho más bonito que el de la N64, al igual que con los mandos, con 4 botones coloridos, dos casquillos, un stick analógico, una cruceta y el start, a parte del slot para la VMU.
I never had a VMU to be able to save games, so I always had to repeat the same levels over and over again, even so I never got bored, the excitement I felt even when playing the same levels was incredible, the design of the console also seemed very cool, much nicer than the N64, the same with the controllers, with 4 colorful buttons, two caps, an analog stick, a crosshead and the start, apart from the slot for the VMU.
