In this series, we'll look at some numbers of "something" and ask, "Who am I?" These numbers will be foreshadowing events that will happen in the future so viewers and readers will be wise to consider what these could be. Also, this is a good practice of thinking ahead. For an example of well done data analysis, see the below video:
The above video, Data and the Physical World (Gold), does not pertain to this particular post of "Who Am I" though it does highlight an example of diving deeper into numbers.
Who Am I?
Fact 1. I have $100 trillion in natural resources. While I am most known for oil and natural gas, I am actually the second largest producer of gold in the world (and rising), the largest producer of palladium in the world, and am in the top 5 of largest producers of gold, silver, platinum, palladium and rhodium. In addition, I have huge reserves of uranium, water, forests, diamonds, non-precious metals, land, etc.
Fact 2. My latest monthly reserves are listed below this in an image. Unlike many countries, my international reserves are much larger than my external debt. In addition, my external debt has been falling and even fell during 2020.
Fact 3. Using the financial measure of price-to-earnings ratio, my stock market is the cheapest in the world. Many of my companies are paying dividend yields of 8-12% and have very low levels of debt because the interest rate set by my central bank is 4.25%. While other countries struggled during 2020, I used the year to grow stronger in my financial position as a country. In addition, my unemployment rate barely dipped unlike the United States.

Fact 4. Entering the 21rst century, I have the strongest potential of every country because of my wealth of natural resources along with my geographical advantage in the age of artificial intelligence and cloud computing. My climate favors both extensive data centers (if required), as well as finding talent in artificial intelligence. But even in a world where both fail, my natural resources completely offset any digital risk. The digital world could go to zero tomorrow and I would still be in a position to lead the world in wealth.
