Mika was an explorer ant and spent all day wandering around the anthill to gather information about the surroundings and get an idea of possible dangers to her community. She had to walk alone for several hours in the hot sun and it could get tedious and exhausting. One day she saw a strange little animal leaning on a leaf and sucking its dew. She learned that it was a fly, it had a strange trunk and was equipped with wings that allowed it to fly. Mika would have liked wings above everything else, she could have done her explorations comfortably from above and with less effort.

Mika era una formica esploratrice e passava tutta la giornata a gironzolare intorno al formicaio per raccogliere informazioni sui dintorni e farsi un'idea di eventuali pericoli per la sua comunità. Doveva camminare sola per diverse ore sotto il sole cocente e la cosa poteva diventare noiosa e stancante. Un giorno vide un strano animaletto appoggiato su di una foglia intento ad succhiarne la rugiada. Imparò che si trattava di una mosca, aveva una strana proboscide ed era dotata di ali che le permettevano di volare. Mika avrebbe voluto delle ali al di sopra di ogni cosa, avrebbe potuto fare le sue esplorazioni comodamente dall'alto e con minor sforzo.
