Good God. What in the hell is wrong with people? I live in a beautiful city that people treat as a landfill.
Today I went out to the local park and at first glance you might say, "wow, what a beautiful place. However a short walk to the waters edge and the images become saddening.
Amazing isn't it?
I guess you got to look past it all and think only of the beautiful skyline in the distance. (sigh) ...
On a brighter note the sanderlings and the plovers seem to be hard at it picking away through the plastic pieces and yard waste enjoying a delicious meal of carcinogens and toxic pate'
None of this seems to make any sense to me. During the summer months most of the parks post warning signs stating bacterial levels of seriously harmful shit, like shit from dogs, shit from discarded diapers, shit that will make your sick or give you a nice case of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) otherwise known as flesh eating bacteria.
Seriously people? What is wrong with you? What kind of society is this? Do you throw your used diapers in your front yard at your house? Who do you think is responsible? Sure everybody talks about respect and how we should protect our environment but the evidence to the contrary can be found all around and the message seems to get lost in the translation.
Every year the city and county sponsors beach cleanups it adopt a park programs. Every year I hear of the "Tons" if garbage collected in those events. I've even been physically and verbally assaulted when asking patrons of our beaches to politely pick up their trash by simply asking if they were going to just leave that there?
I really wish I knew the answer to all my questions, especially the question of what the hell is wrong with people that just throw their trash out the window or kick it out their door expecting someone else to clean up after them.
Really? Seriously people get a grip and stop littering it's the only planet we have and we are destroying it making it uninhabitable. That's just plain stupid!
