Building the '69 Nova SS
project spanish country model palnet photography
Next in the series of Level 5 car builds.
Back with more on this build and ready to add some words in Spanish. What is tag abuse when you live in South America and raise bilingual kids.
Armando un autito con mi hijo de catorce aniotos!
And now you know why I don't write in Spanish, but I do vote on Spanish Steemit posts and invest in Spaco tokens to advance the Spanish-Tribe.com clone of Steemit.
This last weekend, my son went on to paint the front grill and rear bumper area, taking care to make sure the "SS" in the middle shines.
Lights need to be glued in place. Turn signal lenses need to have yellow or red paint under them before gluing them in place.
He painted both hoods and tried to decide which one will be the one to ride with this race car.
Much of what is left will be cosmetic.
My son reached out to his friends on several social apps and the votes were tallied. We tried to build it with two hoods, but that didn't seem like it would work well.
The original equipment hood won the toss and the chrome panels have to be removed momentarily in order to make room for the racing strip that will run down the length of the car.
A month ago, I had to help with the decals. Now I am not needed for that task. New techniques are even being employed for placing them straight.
Very proud of my son! But it's not done yet...
