Should I Start Publishing My PeakD Articles In Spanish?

I notice that I have been getting thumbs-up votes on my articles from a whole host of people that live in Spanish-speaking nations. I have kept up with the Spanish language from the time I was 12 years of age, and I enjoy communicating with others in Spanish.

Here on both the Hive writing platform and the PeakD writing platform I've interacted in Spanish with others. However, I am yet to publish an article in Spanish anywhere on the Hive blockchain. It's not that I don't have the skills and courage to do so. My main concern is that I haven't really thought of what I'm going to write about in my Spanish-language articles.

I like the idea of expanding the demographics for my written prose. At the same time, I don't want to lose my English-speaking fan base. Other writers here on the PeakD writing platform have given me advice to type up each article of mine in both English and Spanish if I desire to reach out to a Spanish-speaking audience and hold on to my English-speaking fan base.

I realize that the articles that I publish on this writing site in English are mainly controversial ones. The question is what kind of effect would those same articles have on Spanish-speaking readers if I were to translate them into Spanish.

I know that there is a world of a difference between the United States and Spanish-speaking cultures in terms of how to handle taboo topics in writing. Then again, I have to live with the reality that no matter what language I publish my articles in, there are bound to be people who get easily offended by them inasmuch as some people are passionate about defending the status quo.

Every nation and culture appears to have their own version of a puritanical establishment no matter where you travel in the world. I do like the idea of expanding my audience of readers from mainly English-speaking fans to include additional Spanish-speaking fans. Also, publishing bilingual articles does seem appealing to me.

I've read a number of articles in Spanish here on the PeakD writing platform and elsewhere on the Hive blockchain. I have found many of them to be interesting insofar as I have posted my thoughts in Spanish in the comments section to many of them.

Nevertheless, I'm well aware that I will need to be extra careful with my grammar and my spelling when writing an article in a language that is different from my own. I guess whether I type up the article in both Spanish and English or purely in Spanish will depend upon whether I believe that my English-speaking fans will be interested in the article too.
