ESports and Tournaments are the gateway to making Splinterlands more mainstream
Partnerships with Community Gaming & Balthazar are steps towards that goal
Team has a ton of new tournament types and styles brainstormed and ready to be developed

Hosting the Splinterlands Summoners Weekend this weekend with a $10k SPS prize pool

DYGYCON:

This upcoming DYGYCON is most likely the biggest one yet to be hosted
DYGYCON is a bimonthly virtual convention where you can connect with the crypto community

Fidel - Side Door Ventures:

Fidel is a General Partner at Side Door Ventures (VC Firm) and is a big player/investor in Splinterlands
- Owns a large amount of cards and land
- Has only sold assets to buy more cards
- Plans on continuing to buy more and more Splinterlands assets
Side Door Ventures loaned the 1M in card packs to Balthazar to fund their scholar model and help build an ESports program

General Team Updates:

Next promo/collaboration is with a Professional Sports Athlete
- All collabs are like a snowball and make next collaborations/partnerships bigger
- Team has a ton of ongoing discussions going on that can't even be revealed yet
Team plans on releasing an updated Product Roadmap in the next week or two

⚡️ Q&A Summary ⚡️

Waka Promo Card:

Lesson learned, going forward, new collabs will be sold exclusively in Splinterlands
Unsold Wakas on Atomic Hub are going to be brought into Splinterlands and sold in the in-game market
There will be a burn timer as well for those that remain unsold
More news on this should be posted shortly

Riftwatchers:

Team is aiming for Riftwatchers to be released around Q3
Riftwatchers will only be able to be purchased in SPS
- Sales will go into the SPS DAO
Vouchers will most likely be integrated into the Riftwatcher sales as well

Land:

To reiterate, there is an entire team dedicated to Land development
Team would like to tie Guild activity with Land to add extra incentives/benefits for being in a Guild
Both summoners and monsters will most likely have to work the land
- Not defined how many cards will be required per plot yet
- Either way, Land will lock a large amount of cards into land

Modern/Wild Ranked Formats:

ECR will be the same/shared for both formats
You can only earn rewards in one of the formats
- Whichever format you finish the highest in will be the one you receive end of season rewards for

Splinterlands Merchandise:

Not a pressing priority, but team would love to increase the amount of Splinterlands merchandise available
- Want to be able to be bought with DEC or SPS
Current merch initiatives include Splinterlands tabletop game, physical cards, and plushies
Also have posters that the team can provide for those who want to hang around

Skins:

Creative team met recently to address how to introduce new skins into the game
- Don't want skins to confuse players on what the cards actually are
- Introducing a ton of skins could frustrate new players so it is being taken into consideration very carefully
Future skins could be rewards through tournaments or gameplay, bought with vouchers, or given out as giveaways

NicoThePico + Aggroed League Of Legends Stream:

It was mentioned initially as a joke, but Nico offered to stream a League of Legends coaching session with Aggroed
Aggroed's favorite LoL character is DJ Sona
- Aggroed is the infamous toxic LoL player, which is why we need to stream this
