Hello, Splinterlands players! I hope everyone is having a great day and enjoying their battles in the game.
Today, I’m back with another battle from Frontier Format. I have been playing this format daily and I thought I would share a battle that I won while working on my daily mission. My main goal is to complete the mission and earn Foundation Packs. You never know what you might get, and I’m hoping to find some useful cards and other valuable rewards that can help strengthen my collection.
But before we get to the rewards, let’s take a look at the battle that brought me one step closer to completing my mission. Hopefully, this victory will lead to some great pulls when I finally get to open my Foundation packs.
The battle modifier is the new Power of Eight
All units with exactly 8 mana gain +1 speed and +2 armor.
The modifier looks like quite the power up so I made sure to put an eight mana card in my line up. The mana limit was 32 and I already have a team for this mana limit. I had to change my team to insert Saltwater Mage, an eight mana card in the line up. My first card was Asel Alagosdil, no attack but low mana tank with good defense and ability.
Second card was Colossus Raider. I don't use this card in 32 mana battles but to accomodate Saltwater Mage, I had to change the line up a bit.
Third card was Saltwater Mage, the central card in this strategy. It has eight mana and because of the modifier will have an increase in speed and gain armor.
Last but not the least was Mystic Scaleweaver. It has the highest attack among my cards and has an ability to slow the opponent.
My opponent had Death element. It has two tanks because of Manuevers modifier and two magic attackers in Little Sister and Sorrow Harvester. In this, Saltwater Mage becomes more important because it attacks the rear cards. My opponent's front cards were strong so attacking the back cards was good strategy.
