Many things begin at home, actually, and education is one of them.
Education is not something that starts when someone enters a school. It begins at home, where children learn from their parents and the people around them. This type of education is also called informal education.
This is the first lesson that children should acquire before going through formal education.
They start to learn how to speak, how to do things, and most importantly, how to respect others and understand how to adapt to their environment.
These early lessons can determine how a child will behave when they start school.
One important thing children learn at home is discipline. When parents teach their children how to respect people, respect their own time, complete responsibilities without arguments, and take their studies seriously, it will definitely help develop good behavior.
A child who is well trained at home can manage a busy school schedule and balance other activities.
Communication is also another important aspect. Parents should create an environment where children feel free to ask questions and discuss their problems without fear because a child may be struggling with a particular subject or facing a problem at school but may not know how to explain it. When parents listen to their children and give them opportunities to talk, they can understand what the child is experiencing and offer the right support.
Another point is that teachers cannot do everything alone. Some responsibilities are shared among children, teachers, and parents.
Teachers help children gain knowledge in school, while parents help build their habits and confidence, which can support learning.
As a parent, ask your child, "What did you learn in school?" Also check their homework and encourage them greatly, helping them grow in their education.
