‎There was a girl who lived in a village with her sister, Ruth, and her parents. Her name was Lydia. After she finished secondary school, she was admitted to university. Not many people lived in the house where she stayed.
‎
‎Every night, when Lydia looked into her bedroom mirror, she noticed strange things happening. It started subtly, so she didn't understand what was going on. Whenever she moved, she noticed that her reflection sometimes acted strangely. But at first, she didn't understand.
‎

‎It was very confusing for her because in the morning, when she looked into the mirror, everything was fine. In the afternoon, everything was fine too, but in the evening, her reflection began acting differently.
‎
‎One evening, Lydia came back from lectures. She was very tired and rested. When she woke up, she looked into the mirror, and something strange happened. She raised her left hand, but her reflection remained still.
‎
‎That event was so scary that Lydia couldn’t even run away from the mirror. She noticed that her reflection was smiling, but she wasn’t. Her reflection put a finger to its mouth, warning her to keep quiet.
‎
‎Lydia was very frightened, so she ran away from the mirror and stood by her door. Then she heard a sound, as if someone were trying to escape from inside the mirror.
‎
‎While Lydia was standing at the door, her sister Ruth came to visit. She asked Lydia why she was standing there like that, so Lydia explained everything to her. Ruth laughed and said, “It is nothing. Stop acting weird.” Then she asked Lydia to go back and check with her. When they got there, everything was normal.
‎
‎Lydia still wasn’t convinced because she knew what she had seen. After a few days, Ruth found a diary hidden in the room. But she didn't have a chance to tell her sister. She read a little of the diary and understood that it was about dark magic. That evening, Ruth stepped out to get some things. On her way back, she heard her sister Lydia screaming before she got inside. Lydia's reflection had finally dragged her into the mirror, and her reflection was now in the real world.
‎
‎Ruth asked the reflection, thinking it was her real sister, “What is wrong?” The reflection said that nothing was wrong and that she was fine.
‎
‎From then on, Ruth didn't understand her sister. When she asked the reflection questions, it wouldn’t answer.
‎
‎Ruth realized this wasn’t her sister when she asked her about the story their mother always told them when they were little. Ruth asked the false Lydia to tell the story, but she couldn't remember it. Then Ruth remembered what her real sister had told her about the mirror and the reflection.
‎
‎That evening, Ruth went to the mirror and saw her real sister inside it, crying for help.
‎
‎Ruth was very confused. She asked her real sister in the mirror, “How can I get you out?” “I don't know. Just look for a way,” Lydia replied.
‎
‎Suddenly, Ruth remembered the diary she had found. She read the whole thing. It was about the mirror and an old woman who had lived in the house and practiced dark magic. The woman created a vision of herself in the mirror to escape death, but the reflection turned against her and trapped her inside the glass. This was how the reflection began hurting women.
‎
‎Ruth began the ritual. She was almost finished when the false Lydia stepped in, furious, and tried to stop her. But Ruth finally said the last words and covered the mirror with a cloth before breaking its frame. The false Lydia screamed as she began to disappear.
‎
‎Then the real Lydia fell out of the shattered mirror, alive.
‎
‎The following morning, they decided to leave the house. As they were preparing to move, Ruth noticed a tiny piece of the broken mirror lying on the floor. She called her sister, and they looked into it and saw a smiling face inside.
‎
‎They crushed the mirror and ran out of the house. They thought the reflection was still there, but as soon as they crushed it, it was gone forever.
