The Palisades are beautiful cliffs on the banks of the Hudson River. This picture was taken just over the border of New York into New Jersey. When you think of New York city, you don't often imagine such staggeringly beautiful landscapes so close, but this picture was taken fewer than 10 miles from New York and if it was taken rotated 180 degrees you would have a clear view of the city. The Palisades park is also very under utilized. I would've thought on a Saturday the trails would be packed, but there weren't many people there making it a nice place to get away from the crowded region.
