El susto de César Gabriel

Hola Hola

Siempre me había hecho caso.

Cesar Gabriel's scare

Hello hello

I'm here to tell you about something that happened to me with my son César due to carelessness or his invention of wanting more. We had a medical emergency and I have come to reflect on it.

Yesterday, César and I were in the room, around 9:30pm/10:00pm, ready to sleep, when I hear him sneezing and with an allergic nose, I see his nose a bit stuffy. I tell him to go take an allergy pill, my words were: “Go and take a pink pill that is in the bag”.

My son has always been literal to what he is told, sometimes he invents more than necessary, but it has never been like the pills. He had always ignored me. When he comes back into the room, he asks me how many pills he's allowed to take.

I asked him how many he had taken, because I already know where that question came from. He begins to tell me and when he doesn't give me a specific answer, I went to see the bag and he had taken all of them. There were like 6 pills or more.

My concern was so much that I couldn't stay still and I started walking around the house, I was asking him why he had done that and he didn't give me an answer, I made him vomit and what he did was cough and release saliva. I didn't want him to vomit either because of vomiting, only that was a way to get the amount of pills out of his body.

The anti-allergy drug he took is one of the strongest there is, so it puts me to sleep for a long time as I am a big, adult person, I didn't want to think about what it would do to a small child like him.

I called my dad for advice and the decision we both made was to take him to the nearest hospital, that's how it was, I got in the car with my son and we went out to see a doctor. Upon arrival, we went straight to the office and a very nice doctor attended us, who explained to the doctor what happened was César himself, because that is how I have taught him, not to be afraid to tell his stories.

He also told his dad and that's how it is with my dad when talking about something about men, among men they understand each other more. Among women we understand each other better, despite the fact that there are exceptions.

Well, when we left the office, my father was with Elamaria and my brother-in-law waiting in the waiting room while they attended to the child. He was very strong to let him take the line and although he put up resistance, because the nurse was not very given to attending to him. I think it is something of a vocation and more in a person who cares for the sick.

Anyway, they put hydration through his vein so that he could better dilute the medicine, but he was still going to sleep. The doctor and his assistant asked him if he was sleepy and he said no. Then they asked me if he had a condition, I told him yes, that he is autistic and he told me that is why he is resisting the medicine, hormonally, the medicine does not have an effect on him, because of his condition.
Since I'm not a doctor, I don't know how to explain that very well, but I do understand why he was so calm. When the hydration was over, we all left the hospital, César and I came home, but César was still restless and anxious.

I sent him to sleep and after half an hour he was already asleep and he got up this morning, after 12 hours of sleep, he normally sleeps that long. The hours of sleep were not strange at all. However, if he was moving in his sleep, I thought not. That I was going to sleep peacefully, it wasn't like that. He was quite restless.

Since he woke up until now, he has been normal, without any discomfort. We, on the other hand, talk to him, all the adults who are close to him so that he becomes more aware and with me to be more careful where I leave the medicines.

The truth is, César is not one to grab the medicines, he had never done it, yesterday was an exception, however I must be more careful not to leave the medicines at hand, because he can take something else that is not.

Moms and dads who read me, be careful with your children, don't be like me who trusted him, instead of standing up and taking care of him. I have already scolded myself a lot and my relatives too, so the consequences of my irresponsibility I already had because of the scare I got.

For now, to be more aware of my little one.
