If you don't feel identified, surely you know someone who lived the same story or is living it right now.

Hello my dear moms of the parenting community, today I bring a topic of interest to all those moms who have small babies and at some point in life we have come to experience depression, some even very often, I know that not all of us see the situations from the same point all this is due not only to the lack of attention we have also to sadness,

Yes, many times we are overcome by anger, we feel sad, moody, tired, disappointed and it is believed that the change has to do with estrogen hormonal problems that affect our mood, but I think that more than this, it is the lack of support from the fathers, It may be easy for any man to say, she complains a lot and you don't go out to work, but hey, when that dad goes out to work he takes a quiet bath, turns on his car and listens to music or the news and then he gets to his office and if they have a boss, maybe he has a tense day during the week, but the truth is that mom has to make him breakfast and coffee, wash the dishes, clean the house, take care of the kids, no matter how much you want some time for yourself you can't make it, because you always have something to do, then lunch time and again the routine, lunch, wash the dishes, take the kids to the bathroom, pick up the toys, clean and when you forget it, night came and again the food and the dishes, it is not easy, the day is gone and you couldn't even look at yourself in the mirror.

Dad came home, took a bath, ate dinner and sat down to play on the PlayStation or watch TV, without any bother, it doesn't matter if the kids did their homework or not, that's what mom is for and that's how the first years of life go by, they don't hug you anymore, they don't remind you how nice some trip was, they don't indulge you in some romantic movie or what you want for dinner, the only thing that matters is that there was nothing new about the kids, it doesn't matter if you made a mess all over the house or if you cried all afternoon or even worse if you got your period and had a terrible headache, you simply lost that love as a couple, now you are the mom and mom is a superhero who doesn't get tired, doesn't sleep, doesn't get sick, doesn't feel sad, mom always has a smile even if she hasn't bathed all day.

We should be happy at all times, but that is not what we pretend almost always a happiness that does not exist 24 hours a day, with tears in my eyes I can say that I perfectly understand my mom when she spent hours and hours baking cakes to sell and pay for my studies and when there was a celebration at school dad arrived fresh, with a good perfume and beautiful as always, and my mom would arrive disheveled, with her lipstick dripping because she didn't have time to dress up much because I had to bring the cake and the cupcakes and she was baking them in the early morning, Then she never had time to accompany me to events and I had two more sisters that she had to take care of, she was always tired, she never painted her nails and well, she was always in constant chaos and now that I am a woman and I see how young she is, my mom is 50 years old, I am 32 and my mom is just starting to have time for herself and she looks fabulous, she has overcome all that depression, she has already gone through all those moments.

But there was something that did not happen and that is that my father did not improve, he did not change, he never saw her as his wife, only as the mother of his daughters and it is a shame, it hurts me to see that many women go through this situation and I can only say that my story is just beginning, I only have three years with him and the baby is going to be two, but I am starting to get the worst of me, between having 3 jobs and taking care of them both, I feel that I collapse and sometimes I do not know if I really want to continue with the life I lead, between disappointments and sadness, I feel that every day I get more bitter, I do not even want to talk to anyone, I only enjoy reading on Hive and commenting, I give so much advice that I am a professional counselor, but I feel that I have to do something for my life and I will give you some advice for those who go through these situations.

The first thing is to understand that your life will not be the same, because life is about change and this change is forever.

You must understand that social support will not always be the best option, people will not always tell you that you are doing well, but it is necessary to talk to people, so you also discover the false ones.

Take time for yourself, exercise when the baby sleeps, take a bath, sit down and listen to some music you like, watch videos and check social media until your baby wakes up, but you must lift your spirits to get out of this hard cycle for what seems like an eternity.

Do not try to be the perfect mother, just give what is necessary, lots of kisses, hugs and attention without perfection, you should look for, go out to the park, a shopping mall, walk with the baby, be optimistic, the stage sooner or later ends.

If the husband does not value you now, he will never do it, but children are forever and a good mother will always make sacrifices, everything in this life has its hard moment and having children is strong, it is a big bond forever, an indelible mark, so fight for you as a woman, after all the children grow up and leave and you are left with your frustrations, and if you are not happy with the father of your children, he will always be their father and you will be the mother, but where there is no love, there will be a friendship with a bond that unites you.
