Hi Gamers and Game Lovers
Welcome back to my gaming block, where I enjoy talking about the games I play, my experience playing them, and anything game-related. I was off for two days due to a new project I am currently working on. I am currently in the process of working more side gigs in order to make more money. Let's get more gaming capital. There are lots of new games I need to explore.
Today, I decided to do some gaming by taking on the left-out missions I have not completed in the past. The journey involved me going down to Yito's Foothill to liberate the people from the captivity of their enemy. I guess all the missions left for me in this game are to liberate the remaining parts of town, made up of small villages. But first of all, I had to make a quick stop at the lighthouse. You would not believe that the mission was marked incomplete for me because I did not light the torch, even though I took down all the bad guys in the past.
In the first place, I do not know why I did not switch it on when I last played that specific mission. I suspect I got carried away with all the action I was getting from defeating the Mongols in combat. With the way the sun was shining and giving the entire scene a cinematic effect, a glow of orange, like something from a Japanese movie, at the back of my mind, I knew it was a good call to light that torch; the feeling was epic. The moment I lit the torch on, I knew a symbol of hope had been sent to all the far and neighbouring villages that the Ghost is coming to the rescue, just hold on tight, he will be there.
Next up, I journeyed toward Yito’s foothill, determined to take out all Mongols terrifying the people of the land and holding some in captivity. Even in the midst of the warrior spirit, I have to complement the gaming scene filled with snow, giving the entire gaming experience a sweet, pleasant experience. Making it more enjoyable while battling the Mongols to free a stranger. She was being taken as a prisoner when I encountered them on my way to Yito's Foothill. It did not take much from me to defeat them, as a lot of my skills and fighting techniques have been upgraded to a whole other level. Within minutes, they were down as I freed the young woman.
I could hear the sounds as I moved carefully with my feet, knowing that the enemy could strike from anywhere and at any time. The snowy atmosphere made the trees shake, contributing to the gaming sound effects. I could hear the movement of each Mongol as they tried to come across, and as usual, whenever an archer is about to shoot an arrow, there is a shout of the word: ARCHER,. Instantly, I know an arrow is about to come my way. I either dodge the arrow or take out the archer.
With every sight of the Ghost, they are always ready to fight without a split second about what if the ghost wants to talk and try to settle things amicably with words. That is so funny, I think about what game it would be if talking was your way to get out of trouble or confrontation. So I had to call them out, standing tall with my hand on my sword, waiting for the first one to make a move, and then I would crush him.
The standoff is one of my favorite parts about playing this game; it requires precision and the right timing. You have to wait patiently until the enemy makes a striking move, then you release your hand from the button you have been holding during the standoff. The first Mongol made a strike at me, raising his blade high, but I struck him down with a single release from the button. The others came along after the first one, and soon I was in the middle of the fight. It still kept snowing while I made my blade very much active on these Mongols; they have to feel my blade. With each strike I made, I could feel it on my DualSense pad, vibrating in my palm from each strike. When the first battle was over, the blood of the Mongols became mixed with the snow, leaving traces in the snow.
It was not distracting at all, as I am already used to going on side missions while still having the main mission in mind as the goal. Yito’s foothill was still ahead, and I knew it meant more Mongols to battle. These simple encounters of Mongols along the way, first with the ones holding the woman in captivity, now another along the way, can only mean I am heading in the right direction and getting closer to the goal of freeing the entire villages in Tsushima and other towns. So, more and more Mongols on the way means fewer and fewer Mongols I will have to battle with. They tried to fight with discipline, but they lacked team coordination in battling a ferocious fighter like the ghost: the spirit of the island. For the Ghost, it was not about winning, but it was about fighting for the people, so each strike carried the weight of people killed, captured, and enslaved, all for power.
I finally got to the gates of Yito’s foothill. I could see Mongols standing in the guard position while their general would be inside with more guards. This is how these things work; I am quite aware of it. But to them, they had no idea what was about to hit them very, very soon. With zero hesitation, I went straight at them, bypassing a bunch of them to eliminate the archers first, then I took the ones with brutal weapons. It was a brutal fight, but fun while I brought them all down in style.
By the time it was over, the foothill was quiet. The sound that was made was from the people carrying out their respective activities while being in fear of the Mongols. I paused for a while to soak it all in as one of my goals had been accomplished before I head off to the next one.
This mission reminded me of why I enjoy playing this game so much. It is because of the after feeling I get when I free the people, and I get to watch them move around doing their daily activities in peace. That is the thrill for me and why I play.
