I had read your question and I didn't want to comment because this is a very controversial subject almost like religion and politics, but when reading the answers of other people I definitely can't avoid writing

I really dislike people who comment "The lives of pets are not worth as much as a human being" "the person who prefers a pet before a human being is sick" "any pet can be replaced" I must say something with all the honesty of the world, A LIFE IS A LIFE, be it of a human, of a pet, of an ant, of a bull.

NOBODY, BUT NOBODY HAS THE POWER TO DECIDE ABOUT THE LIFE OF ANYONE BEING ALIVE BE A MASCOT OR BE A HUMAN BEING, not because you think a pet is less important you would choose to die.

Although it is true that no father is replaceable, no child is replaceable, or a friend, or a mother, brother, cousin, uncle, partner ... BUT THEY ARE NOT PETS either.

I have a dog named Sam, and maybe if I could get another dog like Sam, and I can teach him the same tricks as him, I might even make some gestures like the BUT WILL NEVER BE SAM, just as if one son died and you had another, You could teach him to walk, run, write and read, but he will never be the same as your first child.

All living beings are UNIQUE, no one will be equal to another and no one can replace another.

Regarding your question depends on love, because if I were to choose my mother vs my pet, my mother would be my first choice, and I would say it with a broken heart in a thousand pieces ... but if I were to choose between My pet and a strange man of course chose my pet because I feel LOVE towards him, so here are the preferences of each person, of course.

This is a very controversial issue, and very difficult to deal with because many people think differently, but that is really what I think.

NOBODY CAN REPLACE ANYBODY AND NOBODY CAN DECIDE ABOUT THE LIFE OF A LIVING BEING.
