No Shell was the first work of Mutations that I painted. I had done a series of photos that were kind of the trigger for the rest of the paintings, but this was the first one converted to oil. I was very proud of it haha. Now I see it a bit hard in truth, but that series... uff broke my head wide open and set me on a path of no return.
Writing here, even if it's just a little bit, about each work I've been doing, makes me see that I have a path, that it's worth it, that what I know and what I do have a value. That is a lot for a person like me. I still doubt every step I take, even today, and I don't think that will change. But trying at least not to have to suffer it so much is a job that takes time and energy.
No Shell measures 30x24 cm, it is very small, still very meaningful.
- No Shell fue la primera obra de Mutaciones que pinté. Había hecho una serie de fotos que fueron algo así como el detonante para el resto de las pinturas, pero esta fue la primera convertida en óleo. Estaba muy orgullosa de ella jaja. Ahora la veo algo dura en verdad, pero esa serie… uff me abrió la cabeza de par en par y me marcó un camino de no retorno.
Escribir aquí, aunque sea un poco, de cada obra que fui realizando, me hace ver que tengo un recorrido, que vale la pena, que lo que sé y lo que hago tienen un valor. Eso es un montón para una persona como yo. Igualmente dudo en cada paso que doy, aún hoy, y no creo que eso cambie. Pero intentar al menos no padecerlo tanto ya es un trabajo que lleva su tiempo y su desgaste de energía.
No Shell mide 30x24 cm, es muy pequeña, aún así muy significativa.
