Consistency and learning

There are some people who are naturals, like kids who just can draw really well or they pick things up really fast. The people we like to call Geniuses or the talented. We all process information differently, some people breeze through learning new things and for others it's really hard. Having Dyslexia growing up, learning to Read and and do Mathematics was murder for me. I had tutors from Grade 5 until Grade 12 to help me.My Grades were not good enough for me to go to College or University, so i ended up working and then i Traveled. My real University was Travel. Going Backpacking to Europe was my first real eye opener in how different cultures lived. Once i got that Travel bug in me, all i could do was to work and save up to Travel again. Reading became a passion as did playing Music. I would go to the library and go to the Travel section and read about different Countries and plan my trips. This is a passion that is still alive in me, Understanding your learning process and how you learn best is a crucial thing when learning Music or anything. Being consistent and slogging it out everyday is how you get better. Because, i had a hard time in School, it really burned a feeling of being challenged in me. That is why everyday i write down in my note book what i want to do and even when i repeat myself, it sets a course for me to follow. That is why i get things done! Being consistent, each and everyday. Like the Turtle and the Hare, The Turtle just kept at stand won the race.
