Hello everyone in the dear Holos&Lotus community.

Yesterday I experienced one of those days that show you just how quickly life can change in the blink of an eye. The morning started with a very cloudy sky in Villa de Cura, Aragua State. A nice light rain fell and left a fresh breeze, the kind of morning where you think the day will remain calm, cool, and overcast. I woke up in high spirits, confident that the weather would give us a break for the workday.

However, as usually happens around here, the weather shifted abruptly. Before noon, the sun came out with incredible intensity, the sky cleared completely, and within minutes the heat shot up to suffocating levels.

I had to go out to carry out my duties as a maintenance collaborator at a local school, where I am offering my support with the best attitude and patience while waiting for my official position. The task for the day wasn't easy: I had to clean the whole front of the school under that scorching sun that was burning bright.

Despite the physical effort and the intense heat, I put on the best attitude. There is a very wise saying that always stays with me: put on a brave face in bad weather. When external conditions are not the best—whether because of a harsh sun, fatigue, or uncertainty—the only thing we can truly control is our attitude. If you start complaining about the sun or being tired, the day becomes twice as heavy; but if you take on the work with enthusiasm, dignity, and knowing that you are contributing something good to the school community, the heat becomes just a minor detail.

I finished my shift satisfied with a job well done; the front of the school was spotless. I headed straight home with the idea of resting a bit, taking a refreshing shower, and then sitting down at the computer to check my Hive account, interact with friends, and write my daily post, as I usually do.

But just as I was ready to log on, around 7:00 PM, the power went out. The blackout lasted from that time until late into the early morning. Once again, my plans were disrupted by a situation beyond my control. I couldn't reply to comments, I couldn't post anything, and I had no choice but to go to bed and rest in the dark.

This morning, seeing the daylight and realizing that the electricity service was back, I couldn't help but reflect on everything that happened yesterday. Life is just like that day: it starts out cloudy, turns into a scorching sun, demands hard work, and sometimes leaves us in the dark when we least expect it.

However, the key is not to lose your composure or your enthusiasm. It is about giving your best to every job, no matter how humble, smiling at the heat while you work, and learning to let go when things don't go as planned. Hopefully today the power stays stable, but whatever happens, we will keep moving forward with our heads held high and the best smile.

How do you handle those days when the weather and unexpected events completely change your plans? Let me know in the comments!
