Most of the trees and bushes are turning a yellow and red color this time of year. Though the Moss and Lichen stays green. I cannot call it an evergreen as Lichen and Moss are not plants but more composite organism that arises from algae and fungus in a mutualistic relationship.
Interestingly Llama's like to eat Lichen, I learned this while researching it for this post. Though no Llamas live in North Georgia as far as I know.

Moss and Lichen can be seen in the above photo, the Moss being more of a bright green and the Lichen is a blueish Green. Almost a turquoise color on the bark of the tree due to the Lichen.
A curling part of the Lichen was coming off the bark, probably a fruiting body making spores to reproduce.
It looks spent from what I can tell, like a flower that has been open for a week already. Usually I see little red dots in the Lichen and that is its "fruiting body". Cant call it a flower since its not a plant.
A Red Maple had many colors occurring in it, Yellow to Orange and even some Red spots. Spots were forming in the leaf and will drop them soon enough. The wind and rain will aid with that.
Another Red Maple, a young sapling only a year or two old. Though its colors look just as impressive as the tree.
Looking up, still alot of leaves on the trees but they will be loosing them too as these are not evergreen trees. Well one Pine to the far right of the image, but mostly seasonal trees. Next year in early Spring they will return.
