Infrared Video - Paper Wasp collecting wood chips from Mason bee home

This wood seeking Wasps are seen scraping off wood from anything they can, to make their homes and maybe for other uses too. The bug collects wood from the bottom right corner of the mason bee home. It goes to the top of the box, underneath and to both sides checking out the best chips to scape off. Seems really into its job, where it did it for many minutes. Luckily this home was not preferred by many bees so I dont think they are in danger by the wasp. Like the Carpenter bees, they will eat whatever wood they can find, at least the wasps dont bore into things like the Carpenter bees do.

And then in the end wanted to check me out, before flying off to its next spot to collect wood pulp. Ive learned over the years Wasps seem not to care too much as long as your not near their nest.. Not the case for Yellowjackets and Hornets though.
