Using a 2x4 and some 3D printed objects, I was able to get my controllers hung up finally. I play on emulators and still enjoy many platforms. So to play on those systems I keep many controllers. But never really had a good place to store them.
This was my set up before. Just a shelf with them placed all around. This is not a good way to store controllers. As if the buttons and sticks are being laid on each other it can cause hardware problems.
I've spent alot of money on these controllers (My Nancon mostly) so I want to keep them in good shape. So having their own place I think is best. And maybe I can put this stand right by my computer to reach them easily. Since I ran out of hangers I just placed the last one up top. Need my friend @whangster79 to make me some more.
I broke one of the hangers trying to drive in a screw. So I had to drill out all the holes so they would not crack.
Installing went easy once drilled. I used some construction wood screws and carefully tightened them so they would not crack.
I tried driving in two screws but found them start to crack so I stopped and just stuck to single screws for each hanger.
Some pictures that @whangster79 took while making these for me.
When I sent him the link to the 3d object he downloaded it and brought it up on his machine. His software preps the object to be printed by his machine.
Since my friend worked hard to make these I want to share some of my rewards with him. This posts rewards will partly go to him. Hes made me many objects with his 3d printer and I really appreicate it.
