Doing recycling projects, landscaping, and electronics projects have taken over my garage. And in the room with all the stuff has high ceilings. At about 12 feet high I decided to work with my long time friend @ibt to set up some support structures where I can store 27 gallon plastic bins.
By the end of the week we had filled that space with 42 inch wide space to fit two of those bins side by side. We carefully wrapped it around the garage and made sure there is enough space to still service the garage door and hardware.
We also built a smaller shelf on one side that fits single bins. We added plywood to
Assembly of the main double wide shelves we prefabbed on the ground and then lifted together to secure to the frame.
Once screwed in to the vertical supports and 2x4 on the wall it was ready for plywood.
We used three prefabbed boards.. each was about six feet long and about three feet wide. Though using 2x3s made it a little lighter and together we got them installed.
We even had a little time to build a lumber rack. Using 4x4 posts and 1 and 3/4 steel rods. I bought a bunch of wood for the bee planks. So it's good to have an out of the way storage space for lumber.
It was fun building and securing these structures to the garage. It looks like we built a bunch of bunks but soon I'll fill them in with storage bins. I'll be helping @ibt post to steem and he plans on showing off his carpenUtry work as he works full time in his trade and collects many pictures to share with the community. Thanks for everyone that upvoted his post from a few days ago.
