I was looking through the pictures on my phone and decided to try something different with this selfie. Instead of keeping the original colors, I changed it to black and white, and I actually liked the result more than I expected. 🖤
There's something about black-and-white pictures that makes everything look a little more dramatic, even when you're just standing in your room taking a selfie. Haha! 😂
I had my hair down, my favorite dark eyeliner, and a darker shade of lipstick. I also wore this patterned top with a shiny heart design that I really like. The funny thing is that the heart still stands out in the picture, even without any color.
I think that's what caught my attention the most.
Usually, when I take selfies, I spend too much time checking my hair or trying to find an angle where the lighting looks good. This time I just held my phone up, looked at the camera, and took the picture.
Of course, I still took a few more afterward because apparently taking only one selfie is impossible for me. 😂
I also noticed how different my makeup looks without color. The eyeliner seems more noticeable, and the dark lipstick gives the whole picture a completely different feeling.
It's funny how a simple filter can change the way you see a photograph.
I don't usually think too much about the meaning behind my selfies. Sometimes I just feel pretty, like my outfit, or want to save a little memory of an ordinary day. And that's exactly what happened here.
