I know, I've been away from Steemit for a while. I could regale you with tales about how I traveled to the Amazon and wrestled the legendary albino python, but instead I'll just tell you that's a complete lie and I've spent the last few months working on a few new projects. Here's a picture of me holding new books from CLASH. I have a short story in the magazine) (Expect a book out from me in the fall from Clash.

I took this idea from diabolika@diabolika's 35 Facts About Me. Since I'm 28, here's 28 facts about me.

  1. As a child, I was obsessed with stories about feral children. I fantasized constantly about living with wolves and the first "book" that I wrote (A 40 pg. spiral bound booklet) around age 8 or 9 was about a baby abandoned after her family was murdered by people who accused them of witch-craft. She's raised by wolves and at the end of the book, is transformed into an actual wolf.

  2. At the age of 19, I dropped out of college and went to live with my grandparents and worked on their dairy farm for six months. That was before I headed out to Texas to live in an anarchist commune (For a 2 whole weeks) and eventually settling in Austin.

  3. I first started designing games at the age of 20, when my dad didn't have to time to implement the script that I'd written for his game. He brought me into the office to implement and that's how I learned XML, working with C++, how to use source control, and a lot of other desing things. I got my first salaried game design job at the age of 22.

  4. I didn't have my first kiss until I was 19. I didn't lose my virginity until I was 21. At the time, I had 3 boyfriends because my first boyfriend became interested in polyamory and I decided to roll with it. Soon I was dating my roommate and a boy I met on OKCupid. I'm still not entirely sure who technically "took" my virginity.

  5. My favorites color are black, grey, and pink.

  6. I have three published books

  7. From the age of 14-18 I practiced Kung Fu San Soo. In college I joined a martial arts club, where we usually just messed around and sparred. I've been currently taking Choy Li Fut for the last 4 months. I probably practice 10-12 hours a week. I vastly prefer Choy Li Fut to San Soo, as there is a greater emphasis on proper technique and high fitness levels.

  8. I've lived in: Texas, Oklahoma, Washington, and California.

  9. My favorite book is "A Scanner Darkly" by Philip K. Dick. It explains mostly everything.

  10. I'm currently bulking right now, after getting a DEXA scan and coming back with 20% body fat (For women, that's athlete level). I want to gain that muscle and strength, so I'm cramming protein shakes, chicken breasts, broccoli, (and occasionally chocolate) in copious quantities.

  11. The thing I'm most proud of about myself is my resolve and intensity. It's the kind of back-steel that keeps me out of the insane asylum.

  12. My dream home is to have a 40 acre farm in the middle of nowhere - like Nebraka or Wyoming - so that I can have a giant dog shelter for abandoned puppies.

  13. I've never traveled outside of the Northern hemisphere.

  14. I first got into cryptocurrency back in 2016 when I was learning more about encryption, privacy, and the Internet in general. I only purchased $100 worth though. I didn't buy more until 2017 when I started writing for Steemit, which was the first real viable use for cryptocurrency that I'd found besides cryptokitties and buying drugs off the Internet.

  15. I have written over 50 short stories and about 9 novels in the last decade. I am sure about 7 of those novels (and most of the short stories) will never see the light of day.

  16. I started a short-lived fashion blog back in 2010 and briefly did some amateur modeling for a few photographers, but got tired of having to endlessly buy clothes to create new looks. I still love fashion, but I definitely take a more subdued approach now than I used to.

  17. Dubstep and southern gothic are some of my favorite music genres.

  18. I am actually a pretty good cook. My favorite foods to make currently have been bibimbap, soba noodles with peanut sauce, macaroni & cheese, and the classic salt and pepper steak with garlic mashed potatoes.

  19. My partner and I spend about $500 on sugar free Redbull a month. We buy them from the case from Amazon.

  20. Once I accidentally summoned a demon by smashing a candle and getting blood all over the floor while playing SunnO))) and Boris on the record player. I shouted "Come out demon!". While I don't believe in demons, I think people have a great propensity for imaginative suggestion. For the first time in my life I had sleep paralysis, and saw a shadow running back and forth across the floor, and I began to have more nightmares. There were no more nighttime demonic rituals after that.

  21. I worked as a contract writer on this game

  22. I didn't see the Grand Canyon until Christmas 2017. My partner and I piled our three dogs into the car and drove from San Diego to Kingfisher, Oklahoma. We stopped along the way in Arizona. People are right when they say its size is nearly indescribable and its magnitude completely tore away my vision's perspective.

  23. In 2016 I woke up from my disassociation and for the first time saw the world in all its brilliance. It's the closest to a religious experience I've ever gotten, and it's made me realize that the key to happiness is integration with reality so that you can then figure out how to move through it.

  24. I live a fairly reclusive life, and have so for the last two or three years. I used to be way more sociable, but I've found that I'm usually happier either alone, with my dogs, or with my partner. I eat out at a restaurant maybe once every few months, and do most of my shopping online. I'll go to a party maybe 2-3 times a year, and travel a few times a year for conventions. Except for going to Kung Fu every day and walking the pups, I'd rarely leave the house.

  25. My ultimate lazy but fancy meal from H-E-B : Chianti, rotiserrie chicken, rosemary & sea salt sourdough bread, and brie.

  26. I meditate on death almost every day before I go to sleep now. I'm not trying to be edy, but my brain just naturally wants to go there. I used to wake up in a blind panic thinking I was going to die before I finished The Crooked God Machine. By now it's just become kind of a ritual.

  27. Talking about myself is way harder than I thought it'd be.

  28. I'm a claustophile. I love small spaces and my dream office would be inside of a small closet (with a little mini-fridge full of iced tea, Redbull, and whiskey.)
