Every once and a while........
No words are needed when you hear something.
If too many words are used in the telling of a tale you forget to use your own mind to make the story yours in your head.
Everyone has a picture in their head of the people in all the books they read. All of those images will be slightly different no matter how well you describe a person in any book.
People use images of what they think 'handsome' is, same goes for the word 'pretty'.
You could spend thirty pages describing everything about a person in a book still thirty people reading your story will paint a different image in their head of what that character looks like.
Every once and a while...........
