Here in South Africa, everyone is praying that Cape Town will get some rain. They are in the grip of a severe drought. Day Zero, the new buzz word, is coming closer : the day the taps won't yield any water.
I read just now that a well known South African evangelist says God is cross with Cape Town, and that they won't have any rain until they repent. There are other people too, that feel that God is punishing Cape Town.
So, that means, in the Province where I live, we are all very holy? Because we are being blessed with good rain just about every night.
I guess his statement got me thinking. It is a human response to things that happen outside of our understanding. The Bible is full of examples of this: "you, your parents or your grandparents must have sinned, this is why this is happening."
Whatever the reason for this disaster, though, I do hope it breaks soon enough for the poor Capetonians.

Take care.
