Do you pick up pennies?
At some point in life you've been walking along, thinking about something that is important to you, like what your going to buy today in the store, or how the conversation with someone else went. While your walking you notice a coin on the ground, you stop and begin to ponder the thought, or the idea of picking up the coin! Thinking to yourself you wonder, "Is it worth my time to pick up that penny?"

Recently I have been wondering as to whether or not it is worth actually picking up the penny. According to Donna Freedman, in her article "Why I Still Pick up Pennies", she says that it is worth her time. From the article she said that last year in 2017 she found $44.58, although I do pick up the pennies I do see mot the time, I do not think I ever made that much in one year picking up coins.

So is it worth your time? I still think it is, because outside you regular 8 hour day, your not making any other money. So if you work 8 hours, and your making $10 per hour that's $80 per 24 hour day. If you think about it inside those 24 hours you essentially only made $3.333 per hour or $0.05 per minute. Would it really hurt if you took the time to stop and pick up that penny you see laying on the ground? Mind you I'm looking at it from the idea that what you make for the day based on a $10 per hour job.
Just looking at those numbers makes me want to go out and pick up any and all pennies I find!
Some think it is lucky?
Some people believe it is luck if the penny lays heads up, while others thing simply picking up the penny is lucky! Do you believe either one is lucky?
