The long term storage supplies should include honey. I added some today.

These cans will provide four gallons of honey, and store 30 years. That said, honey itself will store long term and remain good. It may harden (crystallize) over time, but placed in warm water; it will liquify easily.
He's not much help with my bee keeping, LOL!
Be aware that honey is not just a sweetener, but is useful for treating burns and infections. It us so sweet, that bacteria can not survive in a wound. The interaction at the wound bed with the honey, chemically provides a low level of hydrogen peroxide. It also protects the wound from external contamination, and can be used in combination with spider web as a matrix; as a top flight wound dressing.
It has also been used, historically; to ferment into mead.
Consuming local honey can also reduce allergy symptoms.
Bee keeping is a top prep for SHTF scenarios, and I recommend it highly! As always, your prepping backups should be planned in depth.
There are few things better than the smell of a hive freshly opened!!! Honey, propolis, bees, and pollen are all good barter supplies. Each additional prep, makes your honestead stronger.
