Plans changed slightly today and instead of getting a new mattress, we are building a new house. Daddy and I build many houses and now that we have changed my room around a bit, we have some space to play on the floor instead of in the lounge room.
Daddy is not much of an engineer but he is an excellent Lego house builder and every time we get constructing, there are new designs. Today's is pretty good but yesterday's was a Duplo masterpiece.
Mummy has been playing house a lot too lately and it is nice to have more room to make larger messes. Over the last two years I have hardly used my room other than to sleep in but it is actually quite versatile and not just as a storage room for clothes and books. I am enjoying the room more and more lately.
This morning I woke up bright and early at 630 and went and woke Mummy and Daddy up. This getting out of my own bed whenever I like is pretty convenient. It has also given me a bit of confidence and today, I kicked Daddy out of the room and put myself down for a nap instead of him sitting there til I fall asleep. I think it made him both happy and sad.as he realises at some point, I won't need him at all.
For now though, he is my ride so until I have my own car, I will need him a bit longer. When will a kid be able to buy a self-driving car?
Back to building. The house is done, time for the farm.
