Yesterday was probably the last beach day for the year, unless global warming really speeds up. The day was warm but as you can see from the pics, the autumn storms are on their way. Last autumn, daddy and I spent quite a bit of time outside looking at the colours of the leaves which I think we will do again this year and maybe collect some to press and dry as a reminder of 2018.
Today, Mummy and Daddy are preparing for a picnic with friends and we are going to to celebrate my upcoming birthday which is on Monday (hint hint). We are going to spend the afternoon in a park with friends and Moomins. There is an event where they will appear and I have to say, I am a little bit excited to go on a picnic as I don't remember going on one before.
Even though there are lots of things to do in each season, I am going to miss the beach. It has been such a warm summer and we have spent so much time playing in the water that I have started to get attached to it. I am pretty good at collecting water to wet the sand so I can make sand castles now, so next year is going to be great. When Mummy said to say goodbye to the beach, I felt a bit sad. However, that might have been because yesterday there was a puppy I was patting also and, it was so cute I didn't want to leave it. It had one brown and one blue eye and was a mini version of my dog, Viski.
Oh well, seasons come and go and the weather is still nice enough for a picnic today for my birthday so I am pretty lucky. Mummy made a cake for me too which is going to be my first ever. Well, a cupcake but still, it is mine and not Daddy's for once. I think this afternoon is going to be fun and tomorrow I might have some pictures to show of all of the Moomins I got to meet :)
