I don't have a lot to brag about in my little world but today, I am here to make you all jealous. Today, I met two of the Moomins. You might have no idea what that means but I do which should make you even more envious.

Here is a pic of mummy and I hanging out with them and shooting the breeze. Daddy took the photo.
I have heard there are cartoons featuring them but since I don't watch any TV, I read about them from books. I know them all and I heard that Nuuskamuikkunen was hanging around too but I was unable to get a look. I am pretty sure that guy is a serial killer and i would have like to have looked him in the eyes and asked where he disappears to on his journeys.
The Moomin were created by Tove Jansson who was a Swedish speaking Finn and illustrator. It originally was a comic strip but expanded widely and ended up being turned into anime and manga in Japan. Pretty cool. One thing that is quite brilliant with art is how well it travels.
Talking of travelling, I didn't know I was going to meet the Moomins today, mummy and daddy surprised me. I should have known something was up though as daddy had the camera and there were thousands of people around. He took a picture of my face when I first saw them.
It is quite nice in Finland as they do organise a lot of free and family friendly events although most are obviously in the summer. It was minus 15 today and daddy (lame) was complaining that his toes were freezing. Mummy told him off because she warned him to wear proper clothes.
Here are some other photos from the day. There was a carousel but the line was ginormous so we didn't go on that and there was a snow slide built but I am a little too small for that one too.
Oh, there is a lake in the park too so in the winter it is a skating rink.
And even though I have allergies and can't eat anything like this, it doesn't stop the parents from enjoying Lettu, Finnish crepes with strawberry jam. one day I will eat with them.
It was a lovely afternoon with the family.
