H.G. Wells (Herbert George Wells) was born September 21, 1866, and was an English Author who is often referred as the Shakespeare of Science Fiction, and the Father of Science Fiction along with Jules Verne, and nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature on four occasions. He is best known for his works, such as, The War of the Worlds, The Island of Doctor Moreau, The Time machine, and The Invisible man. He was a prolific writer and foresaw the advent of airplanes, the World Wide Web, space travel, nuclear weapons, and more, helping to give birth to a new genre called Science Fiction. When he past from this world to the next, the world had lost one those rare and great writers like Shakespeare, and helped to change the world for the better.
