An odyssey that almost won
Hello friends of #catarsis, first of all I am pleased to say that in this publication patience reigned in the end, it was an odyssey that almost won, but in the end it was only a crusade, I tell you about the subject.
In #Venezuela, the identification processes have become more and more complicated, because of the steps to follow, the requirements and the costs. So I had left the pending #passport application aside.
However, at the beginning of February of this year I entered the identification portal and found myself with the confusion that I could not carry out any procedure because according to the system neither my daughter, nor I, were in the country. Since 2019 apparently, our entry to Venezuela had never been closed.
The multiple questions, countless calls, consultations on my part had no rest, but the solutions were few, go to Caracas (I remember I called @Belkisa758 to stay at his house) and another was the international airport. I opted for the closest, I had to go all the way to the airport but the first time I didn't manage to do anything.
In a later visit to the airport, in conversations with the immigration people, they explained to me the fees to cancel and I did the whole procedure. My brother supported me in this procedure because I called him in tears, he even helped me by paying a girl.
When I managed to free my status, I was afraid that the platform would block me again or something like that and I started to do the paperwork to apply for the passports. The money issue is strong, the fees are almost a fortune if you make a rule with the income we have as citizens, so again I got help.
I did the process on the day of love and friendship, just on February 14, and here the odyssey seemed eternal, I almost won because I wanted to cry in many moments, days passed and the appointment was not reflected, that if the portal and the link with the bank, the issue of calling the bank was also a process.
During those days, a professor friend came to my house and called an official who explained that because of the carnival days that followed it was slow, and that soon they would release. In those days I could not see an end to the story, it was a long time. And after that we were finally assigned an appointment for March 9th.
We went to the appointment, that day I felt calm, but the karma was still there, I ignored the details of that day because I focused on being well so that my daughter would also feel well. In fact, we even reviewed an issue with the numbering of her identity card.
Sometimes these odysseys end in a catharsis that allows us to expose that despite the ups and downs, the difficult and everything we may go through, we always hold on to faith and the positive. So the wait went on, and they even changed the #saime system recently, this terrified me, but I was mentally convinced that everything would be fine.
Today, without warning mail, with nothing more than not letting myself be won over by all this odyssey I went to pick up my passports, I sat in the waiting room, handed in our identity cards and was writing these lines.
Suddenly, the girl came out with them in her hand and I felt I could breathe. When I got home, I just did all the pending things cheerfully and well, today I can finally tell that I almost won the stress but no, I was stronger.
