So you may wonder where the name skturtles came from. No this is not my given name, just a name I use online. Who remembers way back when the internet was new and AOL was the big thing? I had just finished my four years of undergrad and was back home with my family. My younger sister was much more tech saavy than I was. She had a computer in the living room all set up to dial up. LOL yes dial up, when you actually had to choose a connection and hope that you would be able to connect. This was my very first exposure to the internet. I hadn't even really had much experience with computers in general so my sister had to teach me the basics of the internet. First we had to set up an email account and decide on a username, and this was the beginning of skturtles. If you haven't figured it out yet I have a love of all things turtle. So we added a few of my initials at the time and I became skturtles to the online world. I just thought I would share, I hope my story was entertaining.
