I saw a video of ishowspeed where he was flexing about 3 to 4 iPhone 18s that be got from Apple, and someone in the quote asked "why do rich people get stuff, for free?" I think it's obviously the most generic question to ask because this question has the easiest answers.
Firstly, ishowspeed is easily the biggest GEN-Z influencer out there, and since GEN-Z's are the ones with the most use for iPhones, he can easily influence these guys to buy Apple's products and it's honestly not as difficult as it seems.
Need I remind anyone that life most functions in a ripple effect. When life gets hard, everything gets harder, you begin to lose your influence, you cannot connect to people who would draw you out of that pit because apparently you've lost the very thing that makes you relevant, and no one wants an irrelevant person, for reasons that most people don't want to admit.
It takes a special type of Grace, luck and good people to crawl your way out of the gutters, because most times you need people to life you up, and the biggest turning point is actually meeting people who are willing enough to understand that a man can fall, and that's not his end.
However, the reality is quite different when things are going great.
You get more people who wants to be affiliated with you, more people who wants to be closer to you, at this point you already know that they're not close to you because they love you, but because we understand that partnership and money-making doesn't need sentimental or emotional attachment to actually function.
People don't need to love themselves to do business together provided you stay useful in the partnership, then you're good to go.
However, being in such partnerships can be very risk, because life can get harder, something unexpected can happen, and you can no longer give them the value you once offered, and you fall down the pecking order, until someone who is up there and empathetic enough decides to lend a helping hand and help you rise again.
Unfortunately empathy is rare in the human society and most people fades away because of the lack of empathetic people. This is the mechanism that life uses to be unkind to a poor person.
First you cannot convince people enough to invest in you even when you're not looking as promising and there are no guarantees, secondly you don't have enough money to buy your way out of your current predicaments, so you lose every opportunities that could actually elevate you out of your present situation, and because you don't have capital, no one believes you can offer anything, deep down you know you're capable, but life isn't Hollywood..
people needs to see results or see prospects in you, a metrics that shows that you'll give them X10 of their initial investments in you, but you don't have prospects, all you have is a faith in yourself, plans that needs execution and a goal that needs polishing.
A simple way of looking at it...
If for example, you plant seedlings of corn in two different places. One of them starts growing nicely, and you're elated and started watering it, the other has a stunted growth, it's refused to grow even though it should. Will you continue to water a plant that obviously doesn't look like it'll grow?
The truth is, no. I think inasmuch as it really feels unfair, it's just the reality of life. Somehow you want to feel emotional and feel sad, but it's just life. Literally no one wants to be seen in places with no prospect or hope, and you'll need to be extremely delusional to actually have faith in what doesn't look promising.
This is how I see life as someone at the bottom of the spectrum. I don't get sad at being ignored, overlooked or underrated. I think it's just a regular way we tend to see people are struggling with no prospects in sight.
Somehow you need to show that there's a glow of success shining somewhere around you, if you practically look dead, then everyone will treat you as "dead".
However, there's are people who clings on to dead things without giving up on them. I mean 60% of them times these people are always disappointed, but the harshest truth is that without these set of people in life, everyone who falls, or is already fallen has no hope of rising again.
It's shocking, but I don't think anyone actually owes their "rise to wealth, relevance, status or the state of doing well" to only themselves. At some point in life, there are people who have seen us at a very horrible state and decided to hold onto us, even though we look dead.
Look at Hive for example, a lot of people are still clinging, holding, investing, staying and nurturing the ecosystem, and these people are the underrated most important persons.
Conclusion
The conclusion of this post is that if you don't have anyone who is willing to hold onto you when when you look dead, then honestly, you may never get to rise(that's if you've fallen and need help to get back up) you'll probably struggle for a long time and you'll continue to fail because no one is willing to lend a hand.
However, my advice to you is to keep trying and seeking out people like this. They're in the minority, but they're there, and if you eventually find and you get back up, then try as much as possible to be that person who will stand up for others too even when they look dead..
