Reflections across time
traditions as to who we are
bringing us together
even when we are far
Families have traditions
on certain holidays
some turkey and wine
others fireworks to display
There are religious ceremonies
renewals of who we are
rights of passage
extended from afar
Nature has passages
seasons with color and life
reflecting our existence
peace and strife
Traditions are diverse
meant to be shared
learning from one another
some combined if we dare
Reflections in the water
tracing across time
traditions of sharing
a time to shine
