Here are a few colorful photos from my walk at an arboretum for this #wednesdaywalk by tattoodjay@tattoodjay

This arboretum features a koi pond near the visitor center.

Once the fish catch sight of you coming near the edge of the pond they all line up and swarm over to you expecting to be fed.

They kind of swim back and forth in front of you to evaluate if you have treats or not.

Eventually someone started throwing in food and the swarm began. They basically just try and move each other out of the way with their mouths open expecting treats to fall from the sky.

Here is a random bridge troll next to the pond.

The arboretum has quite a few flower beds, these are some wild irises growing next to the pond.

Here is a larger bed of irises. They smell great.

This one kind of smelled like vanilla mixed with grapes.

There was also a hummingbird feeder near the visitor center. Sadly my zoom lens did terrible because it was located in the shade so the shutter stayed open too long and they got a bit blurry.

Here's a blurry one that shows the red throat on the male. These look like ruby-throated hummingbirds. They have quite the battles over the feeders.

Now a shot of the arboretum. Great place for a picnic but unfortunately I brought only my camera.

Happy #wednesdaywalk :-)
