Here is some kind of spider web wormhole that draws in unsuspecting spaceships passing by. Earthlings wonder why no aliens are visiting them. Its not because we are assholes its just that their spacesips keep getting netted by this wormhole outside our solar system.
This poor armored spaceship tried to deliver us life extention technology and the secrets of the universe. But then it got netted by that blasted wormhole. How will humans ever become a space fareing race now?
Where does the wormhole lead? It goes right into the tentacles of an enormous entity that needs endless amounts of energy. Perhaps it will get powerful enought to travel on its own to our galaxy via the wormhole...
The space federation has decided to poison the entity with some high desity berylium ingots. Perhaps this will just be like a sugar cube to the entity. Maybe it will demand more poison from the wormhole...
As the entity ate the poisoned cube its stomach gurgled a bit... then it let out an enormous gas cloud that accidentally caused a big bang. Thus more galaxies were born.
The next weapon that the federation deployed is a sharp spinning einsteinium pyramid that should at least shred one of the tentacles off the enormous entity...
Wham the entity simple caught the sharp pyramid and put some digestive slime on it to absorb its energy.
Now that none of the federation's methods have worked they decided to simply put a cork and net over the wormhole. At least now this galaxy won't be feeding the enormous entity more energy.
The pesky humans have discovered their very own wormhole. But there is this darn net over it... how will humanity ever explore the other side of the universe? Our best and brightest decided to nuke the net... nuking things always works according to humans.
The nuke accidentally reversed the flow of the wormhole... now a large tentacle with a mouth is emerging. Yum yum this human meat is very tasty said the enormous entity. Perhaps I'll collect a few of them for farming later on... little did the enormous entity know humans are high in cholesterol, now it is starting to get clogged veins. The space federation has decided to farm more humans and feed them to the entity until its heart gives out.
