This thing was created first in an AI model then transferred to a quantum computer to test additional chemical simulations.
As they shoot lasers at a tiny floating proton they are able to devise the next combination of proteins to create their twisted mess.
What are the practical applications of this tiny protein molecule in the real world?
Who knows, they data center and subzero quantum computer are churning for days to guide scientists on how to create it.
Finally the have found all the right binding equations and materials and set off to construct it in the real world.
Just a bit of human DNA mixed with load of mouse and beagle DNA put in a blender and shot with various viruses will make for the perfect combination to bring this protein molecule into the real world.
As all the scientists were working on separate parts of the project they never realized the macro view of what they were creating.
In the end the protein molecule infected the food supply and everyone suddenly started growing an extra tail. Now the fashion industry is booming with all sorts of new designs to figure out how to deal with a new appendage. Next the jewelry industry will capitalize on various rings and bracelets to adorn this new appendage with.
