Here is some #marketfriday randomness in Bisbee Arizona.

Bisbee is an interesting old fashioned mining city in Southern Arizona with all sorts of interesting buildings nestled around the mountains.

Once you get into the main downtown area there are various steep streets with all sorts of strange shops lining them. Great for sightseeing with an old fashioned sort of San Francisco feel to it.

Bisbee has all sorts of art galleries hidden away in the shops. Much of the art is southwest cowboy art but there are many other interesting styles as well.

This is a high tourist area so you can find many typical touristy chachkeys from Mexico. After all Mexico is just 20 minutes away from Bisbee.

Bisbee used to be a copper mining town and they are known for having some of the best turquoise around. Quite a few of the shops are jewelry stores selling high end turquoise and gold. I was really interested in trying to get a raw form of this fancy turquoise. But it wasn't for sale.

This area is also full of old hippie culture. Many of these stores are antique stores with a hippie sort of flair to them where you can buy old records and anything else the previous generation pawned off on the stores.

One of the stores was a treasure trove of vinyl records. I didn't recognize most of the artists but I'm sure the hipsters of Chicago would love this place.

Who knows if these were one hit wonders or if they are still played today on oldies radio stations. Maybe some rap artist can sample them and make them popular again.

Be careful of the guard dog, he can smell if you have any merchandise hidden under your baggy clothes.

Here is an interesting vintage poster of a flying saucer machine in one of the antique stores. You can find all sorts of strange things in these stores.

Tons and tons of vintage jewelry. All sorts of shapes and sizes with most being a good 30-60 years old. Perhaps some 80's era guitarist megastar used to wear one or 10 of these lol.

Here is a typical Arizona decoration for a shop. Mesquite trees around here tend to grow in strange anthropomorphic shapes and people collect them to draw your attention to an item. In this case the running multi-armed root man is advertising some bath aroma scents.

As you roam around the nooks and crannies of the town there are interesting little restaurants you can find. Sadly my favorite little cafe was closed down probably from the hit this tourist town took from the pandemic. Hopefully another good cafe will start up here now that people are on to a new mass hysteria narrative.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
