Here are a few goldfinch shots I caught this week for #featheredfriday by
This little guy was belting out a different song than normal.
He had a high pitch interruption in between his normal goldfinch song.
It seemed like he was expecting an answer of some kind. Fortunately this allowed me to sneak up and get some closer shots as he was being distracted with his weird improvisation.
He even did some bird yoga when I got a bit closer.
Maybe his is just a young goldfinch still learning the ropes on how to sing properly lol.
Later I nearly walked right by this little wood pewee sitting on a bench sniping flys. Fortunately I was able to get one shot before it flew away, I was only a few feet from him.
Later on by a lake I spotted a fairly grumpy looking great blue heron with a bad hairdo.
I tried sneaking around to the other side of the swamp to get a better shot without a branch blocking my view. But then he decided to turn his back to the camera, what a grump.
Happy #featheredfriday :-)
