Here are a few captures close to dusk for this #featheredfriday by 
I spotted a nice Eastern Kingbird in perfect lighting. He was also a good poser sitting still for quite a few shots.
I even caught this hilarious action shot accidentally.
As it got darker the waxwings started gathering in a tree. I always tend to spot them in groups.
There were about six in the tree but the branches obscured the chance for any good photos.
A male goldfinch also stopped by to hang out with the waxwings. He looks extra yellow in the light of the sunset.
Now it is starting to get almost too dark to take any zoom lens photos. This juvenile cardinal was barely salvageable of a shot. There was just enough sunset light to catch some of his color.
Now all that is left is to try and find silhouettes against the sunset. This is most likely a red-winged blackbird.
This is most likely another red-winged blackbird higher up in a dead try by a swamp. They love hanging around the water.
Now for the sunset, sometimes you can see lots of herons hanging around this swamp area. Too bad they weren't here today, they would have looked amazing as silhouettes against this sunset. Better luck next time.
