This is my opinion to @gamewarrior post go ahead please so you could understand mine. I thank Kitty Master for bringing interesting this topic and @acceptkim who initiate it. (@acceptkim point of view being more in the marriage and and life expectancy point of view go ahead and read his, since they might be Korean oriented ideas of the topic). 

Educator point of view.

My opinion is based as a Preschool, middle school and secondary teacher. I have work in the education system since really young, being born in a family teacher in the Dominican Republic that's the reality I know, I studied Linguistics and Education, in my country and studied in U.S.A for a short time. 

I think the issue start over the society we live in, our parent are the result of a system itself that told them that if they don't raise their children to be the best there most be a problem in the way they educated them, due to the pressure they got themselves. But today world is full of more responsibility and doesn't live space for other things, like creating or invention. 

They only know what they were program to, because the education system we follow is like the industrial mostly, it doesn't really create leaders but followers, workers, "factory workers/office workers". 

It is hard to initiate a new path, our parent also have a lot of pressure and they are afraid an insecure of where our  future will be they put pressure onto us, and sometimes they don't even remember they were children once. 

Not all the children are the same or will react the same way, perfection is a dangerous thing and even in my country were are taught to follow adults examples to be successful when in reality they don't even know were the answers are. (I mean, I became an adult and I am still trying to figure it out what's the right path). 

They create the scenario they imagine the best to mold our mind and there is not time for explanation, I've never seen a parent try to explain how hard life is and how beautiful could be at the same time to a child, because it's complicate and simple at the same time. Children make things simple we complicate them. 

Conclusion 

I can say that I agree and disagree with @gamewarrior in a few things, but being our reality different it all comes to a general idea of what I think, my perspective is more as an educator than a child or youth. 

I agree parent should teach their children with example and give them love and care, since this is what humanity lacks, and I also think parent have being taught in this way therefore they think that what they are doing is the best they could forgetting that they were children and they suffered the same things.  

The reason why I think our education system is wrong is because it is based on the same structure it was once on the factory time and is not right to every city, nor country or even continent.
