Poke Poke is a salad shop that opened last year. My wife has wanted to go for a long time but I'm more of a protein guy so have tried to put off visiting. This couple of weeks, its been really hot and I fancied something cold. Poke Poke seemed like a good choice.
It was quite busy when we arrived and lucky managed to grab the last two seats facing the front window.
There's a sign on the wall guiding your how to create your own sald.
First of you you choose the base between salad or rice, or a mix of the two. I choose the mixed and my wife choose the salad.
Next is the protein. A small portion includes 2 protein and a large portion 3 protein.. The difference in price is USD5 vs USD6. Most of the protein is seafood, and the only meat was chicken. All very healthy. I choose scallops and egg and my wife choose shrimp and chicken.
Then you choose the dressing. There are 7 to choose from. They mix the dressing with the protein.
Next are the add on. Different kinds of veg. You can choose 6 here. We were so spoilt for choice.
And finally is the topping, this includes sesame, peanut crisp, dried seaweed, and crispy garlic. You can choose two. The staff does the final assembly here. The protein and dressing is place carefully on top in the center, then they sprinkly the topping on top.
The entire create your own salad process is very efficient and the staff very friendly. They don't rush you at all when you can't make up your mind on what to have. I think that's great. And now for the salad. They look really good, and taste very good as well.
Poke Poke was very busy all night, but not that busy that we were rushed to have our food., so we took our time. After we finished our salad, we took our tray back to the collection point and put the food waste and utensils in its appropriate place. I wished I had come here earlier and now I'm definitely coming back here again because the salad is so tasty and fresh.
