Due to the amazing beauty of peacock, the Government of India declared the national bird on January 26, 1963. Rakabasa bird peacock (Pavo cristatus) is a national bird of India, settled in the minds of Indian citizens and with faith. It has two species - blue or Indian peacock (Pavo cristatus), which is found in India and Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon). Green or Java peacock (Pavo muticus), which is found from Myanmar (formerly Burma) to Java. In 1913, after finding a feather, the congo peacock (Afro pavo congestion) was discovered in 1936.
