Wow, has it really already been a year since last year's halloween? Boy, time sure flies fast! Around last halloween was when I first found out about this beautiful community via the #spillthebeans initiative. I think I have written some of my best creative work for spill the beans, "The Canephora Chronicles."

It is not an understatement to say that writing that series was among the top most enjoyable experiences I have ever had blogging, EVER. And I have been blogging for over 6 years! That's saying something don't you think!

Amidst the extreme workload at the hospital, I hadn’t really realized another halloween was around the corner. Until just minutes ago when I saw this week's coffee conversation. And I was immediately immersed into nostalgia of the "The Canephora Chronicles." I never actually finished the entire story. Maybe it's time I revisited my dear old characters...who knows what sinister plan the alpha has been upto in the coffee verse!

I don't know, there is just something about late October that brings a vibe to coffee experience like no other time of the year! It is strange indeed, and I can not explain. It probably is down to the heat of the summer finally going away, and the smell of colder air, and a whisk of fresh enthusiasm and calmness. The weather during this time of the year is juuust perfect. It is not too cold like december, it is not too hot like july. It is just the right balance, like how the right balance of flavours is very important for a good cup of coffee.

And incidentally this time just happens to coincide with Halloween! And hence developed the close association of coffee culture with halloween.

I have always treated drinking coffee as a luxury. If I am going out for coffee, I like to dress up a bit. It's just classy! Even at home, I like to have a really nice vintage sort of cup. On a rainy day, I would always take my cup to the balcony and watch the raindrops patter down as I sip into my latte.

Drinking coffee is about the experience, and I think the perfect end of October weather just elevates the experience a notch or two! Don't you?!
