Purple..
I don't even know exactly when I started liking it this much, but there is something about the colour that has always caught my attention...I guess Maybe it's because purple doesn't feel like a colour that is very loud.
It can be loud when it wants to be, but it can also be very calm... It can look expensive, It can look mysterious, it can look soft and somehow, it manages to carry all those different personalities without looking confused.
Whenever I see a deep shade of purple, especially in a quiet environment, I get this strange feeling of calmness.. It doesn't have the aggressive energy that some bright colours have.. There is something more relaxed about it.
Purple also makes me think of creativity... Maybe that's because it isn't one of those colours I see everywhere. It stands out without necessarily demanding attention and I think that's one of the reasons I like it.
I'm not necessarily attracted to things just because they are popular.. Sometimes I like things simply because they have their own character... Purple feels like that to me.
There is also this mysterious about it... A dark purple sky just before night can look completely different from a bright purple flower in the afternoon.. The colour changes depending on what surrounds it and I find that interesting because It reminds me that the same thing can feel completely different depending on the environment and If I'm being honest, I also like the slightly luxurious feeling that it sometimes gives.
Because I love purple so much, I have taken my time to look into it, and there is a reason purple has historically been associated with royalty and wealth... Certain shades of it can make something look more elegant without doing too much.
I like it because of how it makes me feel.. It gives me a combination of calmness and confidence and maybe that is why I've never really gotten tired of it..
There are colours I like depending on my mood, but purple is one of those colours I can see almost anywhere and still appreciate.. Purple clothes, Purple flowers, Purple lights, purple sunset, event something as simple as a purple object sitting somewhere can catch my eye and it doesn't always have to be bright either..
Sometimes the darker the shade, the better.. but there is something about deep purple that feels peaceful and still powerful... So if I had to describe my favourite colour in one sentence, I'd probably say... Purple makes me feel calm without making me feel dull, and confident without making me feel loud and maybe that's why I keep coming back to it.... It catches my mood..
