I usually do not plan out my weekend to the tee. I have a vague idea of what needs to be done, but I never actually sit down and plan it out. Funny thing is, most of the work somehow gets done. Even funnier is when I do plan out the weekend, most of the work do not get done. Stupid paradox!

This was one of those weekends. I had a "solid" plan laid out. I even timed when I was going to do what. First up was going to the fish market as early as possible, weekends are generally busy. I woke up early, only to find my wife was down sick. Buying fish and cleaning them later involves a lot of work, so that had to be postponed. Instead I tried to get the heating water bag up and running to provide her some comfort. We had a nice breakfast and while she rested I lazily started browsing through posts on HIVE.

My wife had been asking me write a post in Bengali for quite some time now and it has indeed been a while I have written something in Bengali. I enjoy writing in bengali, but for the last month or so I have been trying to expand my reach and write indifferent communities, and we just don't have enough readers of bengali yet on the chain. But she is one of my most avid readers, so that request had to be honored.

The weather has just started to take a turn for the chilly in the mornings, and I sat with my laptop under the very cozy sunlight and started typing. I didn't end up posting it in my blog though, it is going up in our weekly magazine "Turni," which is getting revived after a long, long break.

It was the very typical sort of lazy winter weekend mornings we imagine when reading a book. And even though the weekend started a bit derailed, it was one quite the nice weekend I have had in a long time. I guess sometimes a bit of lazy is what we need.

The afternoon, I was supposed to go and buy something really special with my first earnings from the Private Chamber I just started earlier this week. But after a delicious lunch, I was immediately down for a nap. Afternoon naps are the best, there's no denying that eh!

As I was having my evening cup of tea, (yes tea today, not coffee) I got a call from my chamber. There were a couple of patients I needed to see. I wasn't expecting to go down to the chamber today, but on a day when nothing was going to plan it wasn't too surprising.

I think the only fruitful event of the Saturday so far was I finally found my wife's favorite Chocolate Cone Icecream (which happens to be one of my favorite too).

I am supposed to go the fish market early tomorrow. It is 12:30 am and I don't think I am going to bed before the last world cup match of the day is finished. No fish tomorrow too!
