Hello everyone. Last weekend, I was completely ready to head out the door to visit my regular barber and get a haircut. I was just about to leave when my phone rang. It was a message from the barber notifying me at the last minute that a sudden power failure had hit his area, forcing him to close early.
There I was, fully dressed and ready to go, standing in the middle of my room. It was the weekend, and staying inside after preparing to go out felt like a waste of time. Instead of changing back into comfortable clothes and staying home, I decided take out my phone and call a friend to see if he was available to hang out. Within a couple of minutes, we agreed to meet up at a local bakery we frequently visit.
The plan sounded incredibly simple, and...mundane: just sitting down to eat some sweet bread and drink soda. To anyone else, it might have seemed like a boring way to spend a weekend night, but for us, that bakery has always been a reliable spot. It is a very pleasant place with a welcoming atmosphere, decent background music, stable Wi-Fi, and excellent customer service. More importantly, it features an endless display of fresh bread and cold drinks, which is really all you need to set up a proper conversation.
When I arrived, my friend was already there, and we wasted no time ordering. I have to admit, I absolutely love bread. We sat down and started talking.
What was supposed to be a quick casual meeting quickly turned into a deep session of stories and shared experiences. We started discussing basic updates about our lives, but as the minutes passed, the topics grew more hilarious. We started telling anecdotes and absurd situations we have encountered lately. We laughed a lot, recalling those anecdotes and telling some other stories.
Before we knew it, hours had flown by. The bakery staff started preparing for closing, and the streets outside had gone completely quiet. We looked at our phones and realized it was already very late. So we just leaved. In the end, I got no haircut but hey... at least i had bread and laughed, pretty descent if you ask me...
Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for future posts! Until next time!
